EFI Live, Rich at Idle correction...
EFI Live, Rich at Idle correction... Ok I have quick question for you EFI Live guys. I am helping out a friend and I am trying to take some fuel out of the car at idle. Smells rich pretty bad. Whats best way to do this. I have been messing around with few different ways to correct this nothing seems to help. Little info on the car Its a muscle car swap manual transmission car with no cats and long tube headers and big 3" exhaust.

No cats is likely the smell. However, do you have a wideband to monitor fueling? Is it when in open loop only or all the time?
Disable MAF, tune VE, enable MAF, tune MAF. If you have that lined out and the smell is too much for him, install some HF cats.

^what he said... use a wideband to tune the VE with the MAF disabled... then, put the MAF back on line and tune the MAF table. Does it have larger injectors? If so, was it tuned for the injectors? Big injectors will cause rich idle fueling if not tuned properly no matter how much fuel you take out of the VE and MAF...
