Default Cam tuning ?$

I want to install a cam in my car and i plan on doing it myself but how much am i looking at to get tuned properly on dyno through MTI or some other reputable shop in the houston area?
Also what exactly is involved in tuning a cam? I have an M6 but i still want it tuned. Im considering an X1 with the whole trail parts i have to buy along with that.Well anyways how much to tune it ?

I think 500.00 be going rate may be some a little less , not sure which other shops in houston do tuning , just call MTI , , am sure you will get more replies
good luck Johnny
PS :
>>> go to "ls1tuning.com " and see some things which are needed to tune LS1's as you may like to tune youself, to do this you will need some thing to log with ( I use A-TAP not remember , think about 2-250.00) and a program to edit your pcm ( I use LS1EDIT 550.00 ) ALSO a laptop 200.-up
and alot of sleepless nites to figger this programing out unless you are very sharp or have a good freind to help

I'd get your own software and learn it. You'll regret spending $400-$500 to have someone else tune the car if you ever want to change something down the road.
