Default Mild annoying idle issue

Found some unknown vacuum leaks (internal leak of brake booster and a screw that runs through the bottom of the Fast intake)

The car had been tuned with these leaks which might be the root of the issue, I haven't started messing with the tune yet.

On a cold start the car will fire then die, using throttle to get it started and then letting off it will settle to a perfect idle at the programmed 1100rpm idle but after a few seconds it revs itself to over 2k rpm and then comes down slowly.

It will then continue to idle normally. Doesn't seem to happen if the car has been started within a couple hours.

Any ideas on the best place to look for this?

Better way to fix this issue is to take care of the leaks first you mentioned. If it still acts the same way, then start looking at the tune.

Leaks have been corrected. Should have been more clear on that.

It behaves a lot better the majority of the time but still does it on a cold start. Sometimes it comes back on a warm start but other times it idles perfectly. I haven't been able to pin point the variable yet.

Thanks for the tip.

I had backed it off about 3/4 turn instead. I guess my logic was flawed. I was thinking for a high idle I would want to close it a little.
