Which E38 PCM & Harness to Use?
I am starting to piece together all the parts for an LS3 build for my 240SX, and have ran into a roadblock.
I am not sure which E38 PCM, wiring harness, and gas pedal that I need to use.
Seems there are several different E38 PCM's. From my research it looks like they can be reflashed for different vehicles? If that's the case, can I run an E38 PCM from a truck? I found one for a really good deal.
The LS3 shortblocks I'm looking at have some sensors already. Would I need a harness that has provisions for these sensors (ex, using a 08 corvette harness with the 08 shortblock), or can I mix and match (08 shortblock, 09 harness, and some type of E38 PCM)?

you can use an you can use any e38 with that harness, just make sure you load the proper operating system , if you use an pre-08 e38 use an 08 ls3 corvette OS, if you use a 09+ e38 use an 09+ ls3 corvette OS, in the 09 they switched something with the e38, and when you mix the and match OS's on the computer it does weird crap, learn that with a sandrail i tuned...
Wouldn't I need the engine wiring harness out of that car?
If that's the case, wouldn't I need to use a 2010 Camaro E38 PCM?
It's okay to use an 08 LS3 Vette OS with a an older E38 PCM even though it's a Camaro?
I would figure the sensors and sensor outputs would be different between them.
