Default Where should I start

Ok have a 68 Camaro with a 98 LS1 motor, will be installing the following Mods: LS6 243 heads, LS6 intake, Comp Cam (228/230 Dur, 112, Lift 571/573), Push rods, lifters, and SLP timing chain and oil pump. I have purchased the HP tuners standard, my question is, do I need to store the tune of the old setup as a backup?, second will the car run with the old tune once mods are installed?

It will run, but idle will be pretty bad untill you adjust for the air needs and fuel changes.

YES you should store your first file just so you always have something to go back to if you mess up.

That or just give me a vin number, i can give you a stock file from that.

Your next investment should be in purchasing The Tuning School Advanced Learn to Tune at Home program specifically for Hp Tuners. Tune everything up to 4k rpm, then upgrade to Hp Tuners Pro and buy a wideband for the remainder of the tune.
