Default schematic noob (determining polarity)

Is there a way I can tell from this diagram if the CPP swith is switching a ground, or a 12v+ ?

The PCM sees 12V + when the CCP is at rest. When the pedal is pressed the CCP switch opens and the voltage drops.

CalEditor is correct. The note in the schematic states that it is open when pressed as well.

On the boxes/ or in relays, you can tell what they are just by tracing back the wires to see where the other end goes. In this case a Fuse, then the other end the pin on the computer. If it was a ground, it would just go to a ground symbol that looks like a tv antenna.

You can't really tell from that.

Good, then I must not be as confused as I thought.

Image above has this note somewhere else:

"The clutch switch switches to ground."

Thanks again

Just hook up a relay like this.

30 12volt + battery
87A goes to pin 35 of ecm.
86 goes to pin 30.
85 goes to one pin of your Clutch pedal.
The other side of you clutch pedal goes to a ground anywhere...

That will break the connection when the relay is activated.

Thanks! gotta re-do the bracket first. For now I might just try 12v+ with key on to #35 so it doesn't always think the clutch is pushed in.
