My p0134 story

Ok I replaced my cats today with magnaflow direct fit cats. After install and a 10 min drive the P0134 code popped up. I understand its the driver side precat 02. BUT I never had issues prior to the install with my 02's. The only change I did was remove and plug the rear 02 bungs . The rear 02 plugs I taped up. Would that cause the code? Not having nothing plugged into? I also had my rear 02's turned off when I got tuned.

Do you have headers? What other modifications do you have?
USUALLY that code is present when there is not enough exhaust flow going thru the sensor itself or poor placement, wrong thickness of bung, ect....
It is saying that the o2 sensor is getting insufficient switching. When the ecm is swinging the fuel, it isnt registering on the sensor like it needs to be.
Poor gas mileage will result.
As for the fix, If it is stock manifolds, make sure you have the front one plugged in. In a scan tool, make sure it isnt just sitting at 450~mv.. If it is moving, then maybe try putting in a HOTTER higher quality o2 sensor into its place. ???

No headers. stock exhaust manifolds. All I did was replace the cats, removed my rear 02s and plugged the hole in the pipe. I did just tape up the rear 02 wires . Prior to the install the car ran great, no codes etc. Im actually running your tune wait4me.

How many miles do you have on the car. Is it only throwing codes for that one side? If it is maybe you just need a new front o2 sensor.
The cats that you put in are alot less restrictive, which is making it harder for the sensor to read correctly "less back pressure". putting in a new 02 sensor would probably fix it.
