what to do?
I am upgrading my 5.3 to a stock 6.0 with a torque cam
My question is How do i change the ecm programming from the truck to
run and street tune it to the lq9?
I know to get a tuner, but im looking to do this myself.
will the 5.3 ecm run the 6.0 with no changes to it?
Same everything just a little bigger motor and more compression and a cam?
I havent found or heard of any reputable tuners in colorado.
would a handheld get me by till i get back to Denton Tx area
to find someone there?
Any suggestions for a "dumbass friendly" handheld tuner?
Is that the way to go?
My truck vin would be 'T' how do i program for a 'N'
All of you tuner guys with hp tuners and efi all go over my head real quick.
Im somewhat computer literate but the program variables ive seen from you guys overwhelmes me
Im doing this swap myself but the truck programming is my weak link to getting the most performance
I think i need somekind of tuner that i can learn so it will grow with me as i change the truck
Would i benefit better from a mail order?
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated and i hoped i asked this the right way

The PCM has a good bit of self-correctability in it so you might not HAVE to change anything for it to run acceptably.
If EVERYTHING ELSE is the same, to include injectors, then you might only need to change the cylinder volume or cubic inches - however your tuner has that value displayed, to match your new engine size.

Edcmat ! I was really hopeing you would chime in for me.
Its not a drastic change or swap but I thought it would be more than a handheld
I am looking forward to e-mailing you with all the changes.
I feel very comfortable knowing you can/able/ willing to help
I will e-mail you when im ready for all the final assembly
Thanks Alot,
Im not nervous about my mechanical ability just the tuning aspect

the upgrade in compression and the cam change is what mainly
has me concerned.
It good to get the reassurance the the emc can self correct to a point
thanks 'white'
