I purchased an lq4 to use in a swap. It did not have a harness or PCM. Can anyone tell me if the PCM out of an 05 2500HD would be a good PCM to purchase? I hear the 99 camaro PCM is not very good to work with.... (I am new to GM tuning)(converting from the Modular world) For tuning capability would this 05 PCM be as good as one out of say, a 2000-2002 camaro? Or what factory PCM would you guys recommend? Thanks for the help in advance.

You need to know what harness you are going to you use before buying a PCM. 05 is dbw where 99-02 f body is cable driven.

And you may be confusing 98 Camaro PCM with 99 Camaro PCM.
