Default Raptor shift light help!

I installed a raptor gen 2 shift light on my 02 camaro. Installed as instructed using pin 10 white tach signal on red connector, and launch cut off wire to the green with white stripe speed signal pin 50 same connector. The tach will display goes to zero at any rpms below 900. And it will also stop working intermittently when driving. I first thought it was because of the 2 step but tonight it stopped without using the 2 step. The digital display stays lit but reads zero. And will not register like it lost signal. All connections are soldered and heat shrunk. If I turn it off and let it reset, when restarted it acts normal until, well until it screws up. Any info will be great. Please help!

Anyone? What about you guys running 5 inch tachs using a voltage supply with a 1k resistor? Think I might need that?
