Default proper shielding for wiring

this is for my 1995 SHO power camaro. now that I have my finances straight again I am going to resume work on this. I left off with wiring. I have to move the DIS module, coil pack, and maf wires to the opposite side of the engine. I stripped all of the wire loom off the factory wiring and I notice that the wires from the crank position going to the DIS are individually wrapped in a special foil which is grounded to the valley of the engine. also that wire is split before it reaches the DIS and runs to the ECU and that is also wrapped in foil. I have to extend that wire by 3-4 feet. How do I properly shield this wire to make sure it does not pick up any interference. I want to make sure I do this right because drying to diagnose a running problem relating to this later on will be a absolute *****!

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated!!!
