Question A new code thrown

Ok all of you guys were a big help on my knock sensor problems, now I have a new SES code thrown at me now. I scanned with my Actron code scanner and get this: P1404 and upon look up the description is this: EGR System Valve 2. Is this the EGR valve its self or something else? I have read on the posts about totaly removing the EGR valve and removing the code from the computer. Your help will be greatly appreciated again. Coincidently I found that if you have Gen 1 knock sensors you can replace them with the Gen 2 sensors as long as you replace the KS harness with it. I also found out the hard way how fragile the oil pressure sensor is, I broke the original one with the brake booster hose while pulling the manifold. Then I broke a brand new one while tightening it down. Also a note just in case, 1998 LS1's used a different oil pressure sensor (a one year only part) than 1999-2002 and they cant be used in place of each other. Thanks again in advance

Default

You can delete egr with a tuning program.
The code you have the valve is likely the problem.
