Default Couple of questions on swapping to a 99+ ecu.

Picked up a set of gauges with almost the exact same mileage as my car has on it now and the ECU will be here by fri. I know I have a lot of work with re-pinning the harness, but was wondering if it will have to be tuned before it will work.

what year car do you have and what kind? you dont need to change the gauge cluster if you are going to do a re pin. you will need it tuned before you can start unless the 99 ecu came out of a six speed car and your car is the same

all you need is the new pcm and do the repin. if you use a newer cluster you have to get a new harness. but if the new pcm came out of a car that is a m6 and your car is a m6 then you dont need a tune to start it.
