What was trying to be said is this:

it will read the same AFR as gasoline;

if you want the correct AFR you will have to multiply the gauge display by 0.665 (obtained from 9.78/14.7);

if you want to avoid the AFR differences, then set the gauge to display in Lambda (learn to think in Lambda).

thanks joecar. how would i set the gauge to read right? is the a **** on the back or how would i go about that.

That gauge does not have a setting for fuel type...

it has a switch for AFR (based on gasoline) or Lambda;

so either you have to either:
- view it AFR based on gasoline (and the true AFR would be what is displayed multiplied by 0.665),
- view it in Lambda (you want to see 1.00 in CL, and 0.86 at WOT).
