Default Knock Sensor Sensitivity and Threshold Values Difference Based on year?

I've been fighting false knock for some time now. I've put race gas in the tank with no decerable difference in knock levels. Timing and fuel levels are reasonable if not conservative. I started looking over the different tables and values in the 1998 tune versus the 2002 F Body tune and a 2002 C5 Z06 tune. The tables for knock sensor sensitivity amplification on a 1998 tune seems very restictive, whereas this same table is all set to 0 in a 2002 F body/Z06 tune. Also, the values for the knock sensor thresholds are significantly lower in a 1998 tune versus a 2002 Fbody/Z06 tune, meaning much more restrictive. Anybody have any experience as to why these tables vary so much from year to year? I did some logging last night and changed the tables to match a 2002 Fbody table, and the car didnt pick up any false knock and seemed to run better. Thanks.
