Quick question
O.K just replaced 02 z28 engine with 98 z28 short block.
I put ms4 cam,springs,pushrods.
The car had hurt motor when i bought. so installed low mile 98 short block.
Engine idles fine but i have to hold about 1k rpms with me pressing throttle.
I plan to get tune in few days. Also I have all emission taken off, will get the turned off in tune
Is this normal.
Thanks

Your post is kinda confusing man, but if you're asking if it's normal to have to give it a little throttle to idle/keep from dying, then yes, that's definitely normal for a cam that size.

first off yes thats normal, 2nd bud your going to have to pay for a real tune for that cam, not hating on m/o tunes but that thing will drive like *** , mail order imo is a baseline tune to get you to your tuner, i also wouldnt spin it that high as well, that is not the cam to be pushing on the 98s rod bolts

2800-3000 Stall, also had rods resized for arp rod bolts, has long tube headers, off road y pipe, slp loud mouth cat back. ls6 intake ported TB, slp lid, a few other things.
sorry new to the ls1 stuff
Would the hp tuner kit be good. with some good widebands
