Default hypertech question

i currently have hypertech III programmer for ls1. i am doing my header install this week and plan on doing a frost mail in tune, i was wondering if there was any way to set my car back stock and cancel my car outta my programmer so i can sell it or if a buddy needs it for their car.

yep, thats exactly what you should do.
plug it in and return it to stock

so once i plug it in and return it to stock, the programmer wont have the vehicle stored?

I sm not sure how you are going to do this with a mail order tune
I am not a "turner "this is the way I did it but I have LS1EDIT for my and my sons own use BEFORE REMOVING " hypertech tune"
I read the PCM then returned the hypertech to stock then re loaded my tune to my PCM with Edit , sold the hypertech and still had my tune on my PCM to contune to run/ change my tune
