When you change your stuff to custom and pick single pulse for your cam, do you use digital rising or falling?

thanks!

today i was dickin round with it and turned off the cam sensor. then got it running and decided to start from a stock fuel map, got out on the road and jarred it pretty good, got thru first and into secoond then the car lost all power and shut off , it blew the fuel pump fuse, im wondering if my fuel setup may be the cause of my problems, i still have no idea why it blew the fuse, im pulling out of the original sender in the top of the tank, from a holley billet fuel pump, maybe im getting air or something is why my afr is goin apeshit, but again i have no idea why it bleew the fuse put a new one in it and it started right back up and i drove home

I would try to sump the tank or put it in the tank. You are asking alot to pull the fuel up that tube.

For no other reason offering their $0.02 on the topic, I felt I should share in this thread..

I just switched my stock coils out for the Holley coils and the car wouldn't start. I switched the dwell time from 1.8msec to 5msec and it started as soon as I touched the key. Thanks for all the info guys.

I would Highly Recommend Turning down your dwell time back to 1.8ms

you will fry those coils by leaving it at 5.0ms

figure out where your real issue is instead of a band aid of a huge dwell time.

I turned it down. I jumped the gun on the dwell time fix. I bought the unit used and it appears the guy had the coils labelled wrong so the firing order was off. Going to try it again in a second with the dwell time down and the firing order fixed.

Is that just Holley brand coils or will the long dwell hurt stockers too?

Default Confirming how to change the dwell time

I have a 5.3 with the stock truck coils, that slow starts too. I'd like to up the dwell time on the coils to see if this helps. Currently I have the base LSX 24x setup.

If I swtich to Custom:

Do I leave timing offset at 0 degrees?

Cam Sensor: LSx 4X or Single pulse? (I want to keep Sequential injection)
If Single pulse, Sensor type :Rising or Falling?

Output Setup: Type: DIS coil on plug then Dwell to 5.0msec?

I want to make sure I set this up correctly. Thank you any help in this matter.
