audible knock
audible knock Bone stock 2002 firehawk convertible. I just cleaned the maf and throttle body, changed air and fuel filters, plug wires and ran some sea foam through it. I checked fuel pressure, confirmed good afr on the wideband so I know the issue isn't fuel related. However, I can't see why a stock vehicle would be adding so much fuel unless the maf is getting old or something else is going on.
He did throw a P0420, low catalyst efficiency code. However, I can't see why it's knocking audibly even when the computer ISN'T pulling out timing.
Since it's not fuel i'm kinda stumped.....maybe the cat is clogging causing the knock? Maybe cracked the porcelain on one of the plugs when changing the wires? Ideas? BTW, the fuel trims and KR look the same before and after the tune up.
