newbie to tuning
ok I know you guys are gonna say hit the search button and i did but all the post i found were really old and uniforming.
i just bought a 3rd gen camaro with a ls1 swap. it has big stuff 3 on it. the car runs decent but the tune has alot of rough spots. in the past i paid a tuner to tune my car but ive decided to step up and get a little more involved this time. i just need some pointers to get started. any info about anything would be greatly appreciated.

step 1. buy hptuners or efi live or both
step 2. find a base tune.
step 3. do a **** ton of research until your damn near sure you got it right
step 4. blow up your motor, and wish you would have taken it to a tuner in the first place.
step 5** if your still willing to tune at this point, you might make it.

Do you have a wideband to tune with? You will need to dial in the fuel tables. I'm not that up on BS3, but like any other system, it all comes down to fuel and spark... You need to learn as much as you can about the BS3 and how to manipulate it first.
What are the specifics of the LS1 and the car? There may be a few people on here who can help you...

There are also two tuning books by Greg Banish that are excellent.
