Had this on my LM1 and it ended up being the cable. It had a sharp bend in it from being closed in a hood once and that did it. Also connections for power and ground can be very sensitive. Make sure it is getting good power and ground. Some cig lighters in some cars would cause this issue also with the LM1.

 

Yeah I need to wire it to more direct sources and see what that does and go from there, wasn't able to yesterday. I will update as soon as I have more information.

 

Wired the grounds to better places (engine block and brake master cylinder to booster bolt) and the power to an extra terminal on my stand alone harness fuse block.

It's been fine since then so far. I will update if it returns to acting up.
