LS 6.0 conversion
I have a 6.0 LQ4 engine that I am transplanting into an old truck. Planning on using a cable operated throttle body, a full manual 4l80e trans, and do not have to worry about emissions at all. I have a stock ecm and harness out of the matching donor truck. I know that I will need program the ecm with something like HP tuners. My question is what do I need to do to the stock harness to use it in my new application. I have read posts about removing some connectors that are no longer needed but do not know for sure. some help in the correct direction would be greatly appreciated. thanx

You don't have to go with a full-manual valve body to control a 4l80e, as the PCM can easily handle it....but that's up to you.
Things to take into consideration; 1) What style injectors are you using (connectors will vary), 2) What AFM will you be using (again, connectors will vary) 3) What fuel rail/intake will you be using (plumbing will vary, as will injectors).
That's it, for starters....
