Hey guys, me and my buddy just went to look at a 3rd gen that he's looking to buy. The car is a 91 and used to be a v6 but has a 350 and a turbo 350 trans in it now. The car is solid and runs great but the speedometer and tachometer don't work and the guy doesn't know how to fix it. He said something about it being electrical vs mechanical and needing an adaptor so I figured I'd ask here before seriously considering buying it. The tach isn't a big concern since it's an auto but we really need the speedo for obvious reasons. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Which LS engine does it have?

 

its prolly unhooked from the dash to remove the speed limiter... IIRC all my buddies with third gens would unhook the wire to cluster or something
