Default KR from running too rich?

Is this possible? I am baffled. I have noticed that I seem to get more KR when my O2s are in the 920-930 range as compared to 890-910. I also notice that I get higher KR when in a numerically lower gear than when more load is placed on the motor (3rd-4th gear). For example, I saw 3.3-4 degrees of KR at WOT in 2nd gear and the O2s were reading 920-935. When I shifted to 3rd, I saw .2-.8 degrees of KR and the O2s were in the 905-915 range. Any help is greatly appreciated...

too rich = misfires. The spark blows out, whether thats counted as knock or misfire i can't say.

but its usually a misfire, easier felt on boosted 4 bangers since it makes a significant loss in power, but if you were flooding all pistons with massive gas im sure you'd feel it too. kinda like a puh-puh-puh loss of power feeling than a rattle of death pinging. Then the silent but deadly detonation is the most worrysome. You'll never hear it, thankfully your knock sensors can.

I found on my car, that I can add more timing and have no kr by leaning the fuel enrichment.First I was using the default PE level and added no timing, and I would instantly get kr as soon as I drove the car after changing to the base tune. After the car would ping at WOT a few times, the pcm must have adjusted and turned the timing down to 23 degrees at WOT with no kr and o2s at 915-925mv. Later, I leaned the PE down and kept adding timing and got no kr. I am now at 28 degrees timing with 895-900mv o2 and 0 kr. i dont get it but it worked.

Look at the simple....your symptoms are consistent with oil contamination through the PCV valve. (increases with RPMs, not load...)

agreed, but I have a catch can inline with the PCV and have just run a bottle of top end cleaner through it.

hmm i got original pcv valve (setup too) and run 30.5 at 6089rpm with 0 KR even with 225ECT (hotlapping) last time i ran. i was suprised the high/low map scaler didn't even budge from 100% high octane map (Efilive). it's a pita to do all the logging on runs when folks are moving cars so fast though.
