L33 Harness/ PCM DBC Hello LS1TECH,
I've been lurking on this forum for a few weeks, and thanks to you I am now the proud owner of a 2005 L33! I come from the off roading world...I do CAD and laser cutting if anyone needs help with a project. NalinMFG.com is my website in the Jeep world...nothing really applies to your crowd though.
Background & plan - rock crawler/full tube chassis, powerglide trans, only want the bare minimum to make it run. Intend on purchasing HPtuners with a friend to tune.
I've been reading about wiring all day, but I still have a few questions... This is a junkyard engine - has NO wiring or PCM(so I have nothing for comparison research). It also did not come with a throttle body, but I have since ordered a new DBC TB from ebay.
Because I am going DBC what to I need to take into consideration? Do I have to find a 99-02 harness and PCM? I have a lead on an 05 harness- is this something that I can modify or will it bolt up? Are the connectors the same is I use a newer harness with an older PCM?
I'm happy to do the reading if you can point me in the right direction
...but confirmed combos are best!
