Hey guys, is it even possible to transfer a tune from a 99+ car to a 98 ECM? I didn't think it was, but a friend hooked up his hp tuners to my car - (98 ecm), and it gave a 2002 vin. The car has had a myriad of different, annoying issues since it was tuned, and the tuner told me he used someone else's vin as a base tune. I just assumed it was an original 98....

No a 1999+ tune will not go into a 98. The tables are differnt and the resolution of the tables are differnt. It sounds like they tried loading someone elses tune in your car. I would look for a new tuner.

Ok, that's what I thought. Damn, it's hard to find a good tuner around here. This was the third tune on the car!
