Default Datalogging and tuning progress

Hey,

So over the last week or so I've been tuning my 95' z28.
if anyone has any spare time and could look at my datalogs and give me some feed back on whether or not I am heading in the right direction that would be much appreciated. PM and ill send them to you.

so far my goal as been to get the BLMs to as close to 128 as possible throughout non-PE mode/normal driving. I believe i am there although my last log shows its running lean in the 40+afgs in the maf tables. I am about to install another tune to correct that and I am going to datalog it right after so I post that log in about 2 hours.

my target AFR at WOT is set to 12.9 ramping down from 13.1 @ 1200RPM to 12.9 @ 2800RPM and holding that through to 6000rpm.

I have pretty much eliminated any knock but the first log shows massive spark retard in the 4200-6000RPM range. it gets better as I tune down my spark advance through the tuning process but I've ended up at around 30-31 degrees advance between 4500-6000rpm is that normal? I've read LT1s normally like 33-34 range.

my mods are K&N CAI, Magnaflow catback exhaust, MSD Opti-Spark, TB-bypass and airfoil. thats all the car dyno'd 272whp and 310wtrq last august.

its also an M6 car.

Most LT1's like a bit more fuel 12.6-12.8 in PE. Tuning with a wideband or fuel trims? Dyno numbers sound pretty good for the mods. Headers will net you some hp.

Without a wideband you have no clue what you are actually getting for fuel in PE. Just because you command X doesn't mean that is what you get. Trims are fine for part throttle tuning only. Chances are your knock is from being lean.

Ballanger motorsports has the NTK/AFX for a good price.... check them out before you decide which and where. In my travells the NTK/AFX is the best bang for the buck for us "at home tuners"
