E50-HPT Tuning questions
Hey guys, I am wanting to explore the idea of running E50 in my TT LS2, but have a few questions I want to run by those who are much better at tuning than I am OR who have actually done it successfully before. I will also say that I do have a Ethanol tester to test each batch being blended and I can blend it precisely in my 35 gallon gas caddy.
My current pump gas/Meth tune is dialed in really well and it drives great so far. So, from what I have gathered is that E50 has a stoich of 11.79 (My HPT automatically corrects it to 11.80403 for some reason). I changed the stoich in HPT to the above value, 11.80403 and set my PE table up as follows:
PE RPM.............Gas AFR.......E50 AFR/Lambda
0-800................~13.0...........8.68/0.89
1200-4000..........~12.5...........8.30/0.85
4400-7000..........~11.5...........7.62/0.78
I also added 2* to the entire spark table to start and 15% to the cranking VE table.
I am wanting to know if this is all that should be done to start and if the above PE data looks like it will work well?? I know that the general consensus is that 0.85 lambda is Max power rich for E85, so I just backed it down and kept it in line with my current PE table.
