Default Need help

Just bought a 99 camaro. Long tube headers with no cats on the car. The problem is that when the owner before me removed the cats, they had the o2 sensors extended out. The car was fine for about a month and then it began to act up. It would start up fine but after it warmed up it would act there was no power and and would surge when you hit 3000 like you just hit WOT. I took it to a dealer. After looking at it, we know that it is the rear o2 sensors. When the car goes to open loop (maybe closed loop i don't remember whichever one it is when it warms up) the o2 sensors are reading the car is running lean, causing gas to be dumped into the motor. I need to get this fixed but am not sure how. I was told that i could just tune out the rear o2 sensors and that would fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

Rear o2 sensors are only for monitoring the cats, the front are used for regulating fuel. Fyi When mine start failing the same thing happens to me.
