Daytime Running Lights
Hey all,
I just recently bought a 99 t/a in the US, and its being exported, into Canada. One of the requirements is that it now be equiped with Daytime Running Lights. I talked to the dealership about this, and they claim that this could possibly be set on, in the PCM. Something tells me thats not right. What I would love to know is, what exactly it does entail. Possibly just a fuse, or is it an actual relay I gotta plug in now.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

GM made daytime running lights standard on all vehicles beginning in the 1997 model year. If the car you bought does not have them, the bulbs are burned out or possibly a fuse is blown. The owner could also have possibly done the !DRL mod.
But regardless, the car came with them from the factory.
