Default ls ECU MCU ID#?

I'm going to unlock my ECU myself, but need to know if I currently have the correct eeprom/flash board to read and write hex. Does anyone know what chip is in there? I guess I could just go to the junkyard and grab one, but I'd like to save myself the time. When I'm done, I'll post a comprehensive DIY with pics so you guys can star unlocking PCM's too. I'm over this tuner locked garbage.

Thanks for the info! I'll be trying this unit first since its so damn cheap.

I've had problems in the past with buying overseas like this, so I'll share my thoughts on this programmer. That being said, this shouldn't be too hard. I've been coding automotive modules in hex for some time now, and I cant imagine this will be much harder. It sounds like there is a seed/key algorithm that the tuners are altering. I'll find the address and change it back to a stock one. I'll pm you if it works.

That's an awesome price and completely worth it. The thing that is annoying though, is I don't want to be without my car for a week or two while I mail it over. I think I'll have to take you up on that though, what's your turn-around?

We have a 24 hour or less turnaround from the time it gets to us on PCM’s (ECM’s take longer).
Most of the time the PCM’s go out in the mail the same day that we receive them. Many times that Tom has put them in the mail at 9pm several customers that received them the next day.
