power gains after tuning?

Default power gains after tuning?

i just installed pp 5.7 stg 2 heads and a tr220,114lsa cam.A4 car with all the boltons.the car definately feels like it has more power,but i was expecting a little more.is there a lot of power to be made after i get it tuned?with the small cam,i wouldn't think there's a whole lot more to be gained, just smooth the idle and fix the surging.the car seems to run well,doesn't lope that hard and just a little bit of surging.i'm hoping the installer didn't screw anything up.(that would be me )any advice would be appreciated.

It really depends on how close it is now, which depends on the combination. The changes like headers, descreen MAF, etc richened mine enough that it picked up 30HP leaning it and adding a bit of timing.

hey what's up?how's the car coming?thanks for the reply.i auto tapped it today and i'm getting up to 13degrees kr when i punch it.it doesn't happen every time i floor it,but it seems to happen more often than not.i had it tuned last year at speed inc. after i installed the LT's and ls6 intake and gained 10rwhp,more down below 3500rpms.i'm running the stock MAF,untouched.something is not right.anybody else have a similar experience after H/C install?

It is coming. Still waiting for the Moser axles to get new studs. Decided to cut the heads for more compression. Got the cam in and degreed. In the middle of notching the pistons. That is more of a pain that I had thought. Going to machine the front cover to have access to the cam. Waiting on gears from liberty.

Yeah, that is a lot of KR. Sounds lean now. Do you have LS1edit? You could just richen the PE table for now.

no,i don't have edit.i'm taking it to EPP in ft.wayne for a tune next sat.yeah,18 degrees advance at WOT is not good for power,lol.other than the KR the car runs great.
