Default cutting wires

i dont know where this belongs, so mods, please feel free to move it.

im in the process of gutting my 98t/a. i will not be running airbags, radio, heat, a/c, ect. i was wondering the best way to get rid of all the wiring, my friend says to just cut them, i dont think that will work and think they need to be removed completely...what does lstech say?.

is it ok just to cut the wires, or if i wanted to remove then would i have to pull them from the entire wiring harness?

Default

It would depend on the final use of the car. If it was strictly a track car, I'd remove the harness and start over with an aftetmarket harness. If its a dual purpose car, I'd remove the harness take out the excessive wiring and reinstall the harness. If you're just removing the excessive wiring to save weight, you're wasting your time
