Default Temp gauge signal??

I have a 2001 5.3 in a '78 k10... I'm trying to figure out how to get a coolant temperature signal to the gauge pod... The sensor in the 5.3 is a two wire and they both go to the PCM... I can't find a wire diagram or pin out that has anything going out of the PCM to the instrument cluster for the temp gauge... I know this is a very elementary topic for the PCM diagnostics and tuning forum, but I don't know where else to ask...
Thanks!

It leaves the PCM on the serial bus to the logic board in the cluster.
Long story short put a late model IPC in the dash or revert to old school
sensor and gauge. The pcm will still need\use the other one. It would be like the OBD1 cars with one sensor for the ECM and one for the gauge.

Don't touch the stock sensor and it's wiring, it will disrupt the signal to PCM.

Install another sensor and wire it to your current cluster, use the same sensor the gauge needs. Leave the stock one untouched

What about this three wire temp sensor?
Three Wire Sensor
Maybe it wont send the proper signal...

Or, I could use the port on the passenger side head like this one:
Adaptor
Just need to adapt the 3/8npt to 1/2npt and I will be golden...

What about tapping the plug itself?

At least I have options...

I used the 3 wire sensor in my 1992 chevy pickup and it worked perfect.
