I am not yet familiar whith what people do to tunes, but is it advantages to stay in open lips that long? Regular tune, no way. Open loop - no trim

i have no clue about tune, just put the car up on the lift for kicks and giggles and noticed that the o2 sensors in the rear are just gone, and the pcm must have them tuned out. the front 2 sensors look brand new with not much carbon buildup. going to be posting pictures soon with screenshots on scanner.

car was in a garage last night and no check engine light this morning, car sat outside in 30* weather for 8 hours and started to warm up and check engine light on. (cold weather relevant?)

From what I see there it is a random miss. In other words multiple cylinders. I would want to compare the banks, one and two for common events if most miss on one bank then look for why. Look at both sensor ones. Disregard sensor two. Sensor ones should make full high low swing.

I traced the wires from the 2 upatream o2 sensors and found a wire that was partially exposed, possibly from heat from headers. When driving the vibrations would short out the bank 2 sensor which in turn would default it to ~450mv. Ended up just replacing both sensors anyways just because. So far no issues (60 miles driven).

Sounds like you got it. Maybe a heat shield or heat tape or the like for those wires.

Reread what you wrote. Did you replace the 1 or upstream sensors or the 2 or downstream sensors. The important ones are the position 1. The position 2 are catalyst monitor's only.

I replaced both upstream sensors, drive around for a long while last night with no issues what's so ever, let it idle this morning with no problem then drive to work no problem, idled at work and service engine soon light can on
