i dont know if its against rules but I just downloaded HPTuners demo so I could see what inside a bin file looks like.

I am just curious to see if its something that could be easily done or if it is above my abilities.

Does any one have an bin file I could view.

tune file depot is EFI live.

I would think a demo would come with some sample files? At the top left click file>open>HP Tuners> Logs and Tunes
It will create the HP tuner folder in (My Documents) when you install.

 

yea i kind of figured out how to use it a little, I found it strange that there were no samples or things you could see what it could do. Buying a 500 dollar setup just to find out its out of my ability is kind of harsh.

I also couldnt figure this out too. Lets say I buy it and have my setup configured and dialed in. I would use the HP tuners Credit and now I lost 2 credits. If I have a shop retune it would that be 2 more credits? If I want to load another tune on it will that waste another set?

Do I have the ability to flash a street and race tune with just the ability of my laptop or will it cost me everytime?

Two credits per vin. Unlimited flashing. No one would buy it otherwise. I don't know if I'm allowed to take something off the repository and give it our freely but here is a stock Camaro tune for my motor. 02 LS1

not 5 $650 if you do this get the pro version.
If you have a shop tune it they will use their equipment.
You can make copies of your tune configured anyway you want it
and tune all you want.
