I don't know what the table by table breakdown is (hptuners.com under FAQ has a bunch of info) but as far as I'm concerned there are 3 HUGE benefits of HP Tuners over LS1 Edit:

1. Not VIN (actually ls1 edit is PCM locked) locked... will work on any car of that make and model
2. PCM Recovery built into HP TUners ... I killed my PCM 2 years ago w/ls1 edit (lost connection during a write) ... cost me 50 bux at a dealership to have the PCM reflashed and I had to borrow a friends spare PCM ... HP Tuners built PCM recovery into their product... no extra charge.. .you lose connection... no problem just recover the PCM
3. Hp Tuners is a site sponsor

4. HP Tuners includes a scanner
5. HP Tuners read/flash time is considerably faster
6. The customer service at HP Tuners is much better
7. HP Tuners is being actively supported - meaning suggested changes are being included in future software updates

You won't be disappointed. I've only had mine for about a week, and I'm very happy!
