flashing pcm to different year
must have had my head in the clouds while doing so, but i accidentally used all my credits to unlock the 2002 model year...thus leaving me with no way to upload the calibration of my new setup without buying more credits..
am i just screwed, or is there a way to flash my pcm into thinking its a 2002 model so i can write to it?
any help would be appreciated.

There are some differences in hardware between years and you can permanently damage it if you flash an incompatible file to it.
You better stick to the original tune. Buy credits and modify the stock tune.
I actually have 3 pcms.
01silverado
00 camaro ss
Unknown year same style pcm.
If I understood correctly, you could get a verified stock 02 calibration from the tuner repository and do a write entire on the earlier (non97-98) pcms to upgrade to the newer os.
A P01 PCM will take any 99-02 OS without problems
However, to write a new OS to a PCM you need to have a license for both the PCM and the file, so you won't be able to do what you are trying.
