seasoned tuners please step inside
just picked up HP Tuners. even tough I plan on having my car dyno tuned by Dr. Phill, I need to begine learning this stuff. what I have is a 5.3l/4l80e with a 76mm turbo. and im going with E85 for fuel and have a 2 bar sensor. with 80 pound smart fire injectors.
all im trying to do is get this car running well enough to do multipal test drives with 0 boost to break everything in and work mechanical bugs out. before I take it to the dyno.
the 1st file I will post is a base tune I found threw a friend at howell EFI. and the 2nd is me playing with it alittle trying to teach myself. I adjusted the afr to 9.799, disabled torque management, enabled the 2nd fan. and disabled the egr.
thanks for any help.

My reply on the HPtuners forum.
Injector flow rate is not right.
TM is not disabled.
MAF is not set to fail. Need to set codes to 0-MIL on first error. Leave the SES box unchecked.
VE is not populated. Need to copy/paste the stock VE into the 2 bar VE. Then take the 105 Kpa row, copy it into the 210 Kpa row, multiply it by 1.4. Then highlight the table from 105 Kpa to 210 Kpa and then click "interpolate between vertical bounds".
Get that stuff straight and it should at least start up and run. As it is right now, it will not run.

You are going to want to set the...
injector flow rate
short pulse adder
minimum pulse width
and injector offset vs. volts vs. vacuum
before you even start work on your ve tables.
Also you need to test the E85 fuel you are using as blends change from season to season affecting stoich.
