Default Fan Code

I just installed a cooling fan switch in my car. I got the info from LS1.com under their mods section. I hooked it up to the FAN relay #1. I've got three wires....POWER, GROUND, and one coming from the RELAY. Ever since I put it in its been setting the SES light for a "COOLING FAN CIRCUIT # 1. Any ideas why it would set this light?

because you are grounding out the computer.

you need to put some kind of electronics between the computer, and the fan switch, to prevent the SES lights, on the LS1 vehicles. Normally more of a high speed problem, not often with the low speeds.

where do you have the "power" wire hooked, you only need 2 wires, ground, and Fan (pin J) for a low speed fan switch.

... if you want a plug and play solution to your problem, send me a PM
