Default Codes P0171, P0174 Fix

Hey all. I've got an 02 Z28 with a SES light on. I took it to Autozone and they pulled a P0171 and p0174. After doing some research I started looking for some vacuum leaks. Well sure enough there was a hole about the size of a nickle on the boot of the PCV. Would you guys know where i can go to replace this? im taking a 900 mile trip here in a week and would like to fix it before then. Also, i would like to replace the part that the tubing connects to. It seems to be cracking...

You can't buy just that piece from GM. You have to buy the whole PCV hose assembly including the T behind the manifold and the hoses that connect to the valve covers. Should retail for around $150. Or you could go any parts store and get a 2 inch piece of 3/8 fuel line for less than a buck. I doubt the piece that holds the valve is bad.

I agree, the 2 inch piece of FUEL LINE HOSE will work just fine. Just make sure it is for fuel or it will eat itself up in a while.

Alright. I went and got some line. ITs vinyl as they were out of fuel line. They'll be restocked tomorrow so i'll get some then. Car seems to be running better. Though when will the Service Engine Soon light go out? Just drove it for about 10 minutes and its still lit.

HMM it should go out after 2 ignition cycles/tests have been passed/completed.

I would re check it at the parts store with the free code reader to see what codes are there. Then reset the codes or pull the battery for a few seconds to see if they come back now that you fixed the vac leak.

Went to tighten the tube down even more and the check engine light finally went out.
