Default Help with new sandrail

The story, bought a sandrail with a 1999 LS1 stroke to a 383, BBK headers, short exhaust, stock intake and throttle body. HAs the stock computer, with lots of wire not used. Runs pretty good, but came from Arizona. I am now in Idaho and was wondering where to start on checking the tune. The guy I bought it from just hooked up the computer and never had it tuned for the headers or the larger displacement. Should I even mess with it?

I'd check ur o2 to see what there reading an go from there an if u can look at the tune I'd look at that too cuz it had to have vats removed so some one has been into it

It could certainly benefit from a good tune. I would imagine that it would last longer as well.
