Default Mail Order Edit Tunes?

Has anyone ever paid a sponsor to write them an edit tune and send it to them. I'm here in Hawaii and the shop that may tune my car doesn't do that great of a job from what I've heard.

Are there any sponsor out there that would write me a tune so that all I'd have to do is install it.

I already have Edit...

Thanks

No one better that I've worked with. Call John Rovner at Team ZR1.

After spending 4 months ($425) with this jackass I realized he has no clue what he's doing....RUN the other direction from this CROOK!

I'll have to say I paid A LOT more than $120 for my 383 tune. Can NoGo produce results thru the mail? If so, I'd check him out. See if he'll do a 1st run tune for no Jack to prove himself. Team ZR1 did, as my experience with mail-order tuning is nothing but utter ****!!...

Sorry guys. I stopped doing this form of tuning a couple months ago. The amount of work that it turned into was overwhelming. I would like to do this as a business, but it just cuts too much into my normal work schedule.

I am still doing tuning at the shop when I am there though.

I got a tune from madz28.com I payed $225 for mine, which was more than I wanted to pay upfront, but after that $50 per tune. I went ahead and had him disable EGR, rear O2's, and AIR codes as well as tune for LT's which will come over the winter. I'm not sure why very many people on here haven't used him or pcmforless.com as many over on camaroz28.com have, especially LT1 guys. Both have great reputations over there.

Well, I remember when Ed Wright was charging $450 for mail order tunes. IMHO its not a good idea, however, if you get a knowlegable tuner and he collect data from your driving the car through a scanner it can be as good or better than dyno tuning. This has just been my experience.

DO LOTS OF RESEARCH B4 YOU TUNE FROM ANYONE!

if you only need codes deleted & stuff i think mail order tuning is fine but in the end IMO it becomes a real pita to the consumer having to send back the pcm time after time.

Totally agree! If you have a local tuner who can take care of your issues that is the way to go.

The last man to have to prove himself would be Nogo.

I'd just pony up and get a tru tune. mail order tunes are ofen acceptable at best from those I've seen. Now Im sure some folks have had luck, but thats just my experience.
