Default 98 to 0411 pcm, os issues

I just finished rewiring the car, copied all the data I could from my 98 tune to the 0411 pcm, then tried to load it on to the pcm. I have efi live v1 personal, but have paid for and am now waiting on the commercial code.

when I tried to do the flash, it said my tune file os was not compatible with my pcm os.

is this just a licensing issue that will be resolved when my commercial license comes in? or did I do something else wrong?

also, I read I can change 2 parameters in my fuel section to fix the fuel tank rather than do the van thing, any ideas for that?

thanks in advance!

ok I've figured it out. I found the flash tune and os button, sometimes referred to as a full flash. that is what I need. I guess I will have to wait on my activation code from efi live. hopefully it wont take long.

If anyone can help me on the fuel gauge I would greatly appreciate it.

If I'm not mistaken you have to copy the fuel gauge info from a van calibration

yea I did the segment swap, hopefully I did it all right. I had read you could do it without the segment swap but it was so simple once I figured out how to... hope I get my commercial code before Monday.

I think only the tuners using Tuner Cat based software can turn on the PWM output for the fuel gauge and set the freq. Swapping the van seqment works fine on the 2156 OS, its just that there isn't proper fuel seqments availiable to swap in to some of the other OS's
