Default Car in Batch fire mode (Back fires when trying to start)

I swapped a LS2 6.0 408 into my 99 Camaro. When i try to start it sometimes it backfires but then next time u try to start it will fire. It says its in batch mode and my cam is producing 0 ohms resistance. Gonna see if i have the wrong cam sprocket but other then that what do u guys think is wrong? I bought the racetronics cam sensor extension harness. I have swapped the outside wires around and that didnt seem to fix the problem. How can u check the harness to see if each pin has the right amount of signal.

It has the half moon timing sprocket and a 24X reluctor wheel and it has the LS1 cam gear. It had the VVT timing but i converted it over so it doesn't have that now

Did you ever find a cause for this? I am having the same problem, some times its starts perfect the next few times it back fires or just cranks and wont fire at all.

Are you sure it's a 24X reluctor, and had VVT?
