Need expert advice on O2 problem
Need expert advice on O2 problem I bought my camaro ss last spring from a guy from Jefferson, NC. The original cam install was done by a guy out of Harrodsburg, KY. Phil from Bluecat did the tune and deleted the front and rear O2 sensors out of the tune from what I was told. I had the car retuned by a local speed shop here in southwestern Pa. and the shop installed new front O2 sensors and retuned the car with the O2 sensors. I paid him $600.00 and was never happy with the tune. The car runs rich and puts black smoke out the pipes at WOT. This is the reason I had the car tuned in the first place. Last week I had the car on the rack to remove the tranny and noticed the O2 wires were ripped out of the right side O2 sensor. My SES light never came on. If the PCM is reading the O2 sensors wouldn't this kick the SES light on?
if they are set to not report at all, then they will not report and you have an SD tune. you say black smoke comes out the tailpipe, but what is your MEASURED with a wideband AFR ??
