2014 Silverado E92 ECM
We recently took delivery of our 2014 development Silverado 1500. I have posted images of some of the engine components in the Gen V internal section and the dynamometer/acceleration testing results in the Dynamometer results section.
I thought I should post some ECM related information in this thread.
Here is an image of the E92 ECM mounted in the vehicle.
Note the added security measures installed on the ECM (aka plastic ZIP tie). Ours no longer has a ZIP tie.
Here is an image of the new E92 ECM next to an E38 ECM (the ECM used in the 2007-2013 CK trucks) for comparison:
More inputs and outputs (I/O) and the E92 has the built in high voltage drivers for the direct injection injectors.

Thats a bummer but it makes sense. I was REALLY hoping the new motors would use the same old E38 ECM. I still plan one day to put the new 6.2 in my 2012 sierra that currently has the stock 5.3.
