Big Thanks to SLOWHAWK and TEA!!!
Just wanted to send a big thanks to Don at Slowhawk Performance. I just got my '67 Camaro back from him and couldn't be happier.
I did an LQ9/T56 swap in my '67 Camaro over the past few months, added a set of TEA Stage 2 243's, and a Comp Cams 231/235 on a 108 lsa that Mike at TEA spec'd for me. Plus an Edelbrock Vic Jr. intake/Accufab 4150 TB. Mike did a great job on the heads and nailed the Cam recommendation.
Don did the base tune for me, and once I had all my wiring sorted out, it fired right up and ran pretty decent. I left it with him for a few days this week and now the thing is a rocket ship. I know he was absolutely slammed with installs and tunes this week, so I was pleasantly surprised with a call yesterday saying it was ready.
The only downside is I must have gotten my driveline angle a little off, as it shook pretty hard on the Dyno in 4th gear. Don shut it down before anything bad happened (thanks!). I'm very happy with the numbers as is, but he said there was probably even more there if we could have run it all the way to the end.
Regardless, it made:
458 rwhp
410 ft-lb tq
Time to drive it!
