Mail Order Tune Or Dyno Tune
Hey guys just trying to get some input, Just finished rebuilding the LS1 in my 98 WS6 Vert. Here is what she has performance wise, everything else is fresh and stock.
Car has T56 trans also
Fresh Stock Bottom end
Fresh Stock Heads
LS6 Intake
Z06 Cam
New Ls7 Lifters
New Springs
Ebay 1 3/4 Headers
Catless Y=pipe
Magnaflow Exhaust
More or less just a basic Bolt on with small cam
Question is should I just go with the basic Mail order tune, or Dyno tune it after break in???

A mail order tune will be more than sufficient to get it running and driving good, but of course a dyno tune it is going to be better because they will have the car right there to see what it does with different things they throw at it since not all cars are going to react to the same tune the same way.

A stock Zo6 tune would work just fine to get her running. Then get it on the dyno to dial it in for the bolt-ons.
I've had many issues getting all the little quirks out of my car via email response with tunes. There just isn't a single tuner on island I would even allow to look at my car....
A competent dyno tuners cannot be replaced in anyway shape or form.

Do you have HP Tuners? We have our customers follow a logging procedure to capture the information we're looking for. Once we get your log file and base tune via email, Jeremy will write a custom tune file to load into your car. You follow with another log, and we move on from there. He can get the car nailed down in just a few tries.
