Default help me stop missing

i just installed my race heads and 231/237. i got the mail order tuning from tsp and the car just surges a bit..loads up a little, and i have this random miss thats driving me nuts.ill be driving at like 2k rpm and ill just hear it make little jolts and pops, as well as when i just idle it up in neutral..i can hear it missing here and there..very random, and the car is rich as all hell, however..when i romp on it hard..it wakes up a 3500 and pulls pretty hard....but not like it has 425-450hp like it should. so do you guys think tuning will fix this? or should i worried>? thanks

I have the same cam and the same problem as you with the random misses. Tuning will smooth it out but i think with this size cam, it's gonna miss a little.

hptuners ---> & a lotta work.

you think tuning is just a mail order or dynojet adventure. but the real pisser is the hours-days-weeks it takes to get that last nitpick issue (surge for example). Cause it will drive you crazy on the way to work etc.

been there, carried the laptop many a day trying new combos on the way to work, logging, trying something else on the way back.

took me about 1 week and i nailed the issue on the head.

Like the guys said above. Most likley your problem is tuning. You will never obtain 'stock' drivability with your cam. It will be livable, but there are always going to querks when driving around with that big of a cam.

Good Luck
